What this site is

reeltexts.com is a single-purpose Instagram transcript generator. You paste one public Instagram link — a post, a Reel, or an IGTV video — and it returns the spoken words as plain text you can copy or download as a .txt file.

Why it exists

Getting the words out of a short video usually means installing an app, creating an account, or hitting a paywall. This site does one job without any of that: no sign-up, no login, no credit card, no pop-ups. It works in a normal mobile browser.

How it works, in one paragraph

Your browser asks our resolver for the direct video file behind the link you pasted. The video is then downloaded straight from Instagram’s own servers into your browser, the audio is decoded there, and a speech-recognition model called Whisper runs inside the page to produce the transcript. The audio itself is never uploaded to us. The privacy page spells out exactly what does and does not leave your device.

What it does not do

• It does not work on private accounts. Only public Instagram links can be processed.
• It does not store your links, your videos, or your transcripts.
• It does not require or offer an account.
• It does not translate. It writes down what was said, in the language it was said in.

Accuracy

Speech recognition is good, not perfect. Background music, overlapping speakers, heavy accents, and very quiet audio all make mistakes more likely. Treat the output as a solid first draft rather than a certified record.

Who runs it

reeltexts.com is an independent project, built and maintained as a small, focused web tool. Questions, bug reports, and takedown requests are all welcome at the contact page.
